A quiet and somewhat disappointing week on the cricketing front with only our First X1 in action . There was however a delightful Monkey’s wedding on the Green – pictured below. click here for the definition of a Monkey’s wedding.

First X1 vs Southwater
- Wisborough lose against old foe Southwater
- Sizzler the pick of the bowlers, as he finds his rhythm after a few weeks in cricketing rehab.
- Oppo notch up 238 in rain interrupted innings.
- Wisborough top order bounced out.
- Wizz finish on 108-8 in the 26th over as the rain ends a poor day
- Skipper sends SOS to a certain B Thatcher, in the hope that he can put his latest hobbies of knitting and picnics off for a week.
- BBQ and rainbow the highlight of the day as attention turns to Billingshurst 2s.

Pizza on the Green
Buster’s Pizzas on the Green were a great success a couple of weeks ago. The good news is that Buster will be back on the Green on Friday 14 June ….

WISBOROUGH GREEN PRIMARY SCHOOL SUMMER FESTIVAL 2019 – Saturday 15th June – 12.00noon-5.00pm – message from the organisers
We are looking forward to a wonderful celebration of the British seaside at Wisborough Green School Summer Festival this year. As usual we will be kicking off with the May Procession and Maypole Dancing from 12.00 noon.
There will be lots of demonstrations in the arena including Up & Outdoor Fitness, Sama Karate, a penalty shoot-out and fun for all in the ‘Donkey Derby’! There will be lots of great attractions including face painting, inflatables, games, a coconut shy, as well as an excellent BBQ, bar and shopping throughout the day.
The afternoon will culminate in the grand prize draw which this year includes a month’s membership of Slinfold Golf & Country Club, a tour of the Bolney Wine Estate courtesy of Dandelion Farewells and afternoon tea at Amberley Castle amongst many other things thanks the generosity of so many local businesses.
We hope the entire village and community will enjoy and support this annual fundraiser for the school. We are looking to fund all weather surfaces at the school this year, so that we can use more of the facilities during the winter months and are so grateful for everyone’s support.
